NSP : National Scholarship Portal

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a one-stop platform for all central government scholarships — consolidating schemes from the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, and others. Students from SC, ST, OBC, minority communities, and economically weaker sections can apply for multiple scholarships through a single registration.

The NSP handles the full lifecycle of scholarship applications: registration, application submission, document upload, institute verification, and final disbursement. All amounts are transferred directly to the student's bank account via DBT. The portal processes applications for pre-matric and post-matric levels, as well as merit-based scholarships.

Key deadlines on NSP are strict — typically opening in October and closing by November for the current academic year. Missing the NSP deadline means waiting a full year.
