NEET UG

NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test — Undergraduate) is India's single national entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses in all medical colleges across India — government, private, and deemed universities. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET-UG is the gateway for over 1.8 lakh MBBS seats and over 26,000 BDS seats in India.

NEET-UG is a 3-hour 20-minute examination covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology) — 180 questions, 720 marks total, with 4 marks for correct answers and -1 for wrong. The exam is held in 13 languages including Hindi, English, and 11 regional languages. Candidates can attempt NEET-UG unlimited times until they reach the upper age limit (25 years for General, 30 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).

Qualifying NEET does not guarantee admission — it only makes you eligible to apply. Actual admission depends on your rank, counselling through MCC (for central quota seats) or state counselling authorities, category, and seat availability.
