स्वर्ण जयंती ग्राम स्वरोजगार योजना
Ministry of Rural Development
Launched on 1 April 1999, SGSY replaced IRDP, TRYSEM, DWCRA, SITRA, GKY, and MWS by consolidating six programmes into a holistic self-employment scheme. It organised BPL rural households into Self Help Groups (SHGs), provided credit, training, and marketing support for cluster-based activities. SGSY was restructured and renamed the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) / Aajeevika in June 2011.
