The Shiksha Sahyog Yojana was the scholarship sub-component of the Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana (AABY) and Janashree Bima Yojana (JBY), providing quarterly scholarships of âš300 to two children of each AABY/JBY policyholder studying in Classes 9-12. It was implemented through LIC of India and provided a meaningful retention incentive for secondary school attendance among rural poor. The scheme ended when AABY was merged into PMJJBY in 2015.
