शहरी पथ विक्रेताओं के लिए सहायता योजना
Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation
Launched in 2013-14 under NULM, the Scheme for Support to Urban Street Vendors aimed to protect the livelihood of urban street vendors, prevent harassment, and facilitate their inclusion in urban planning. It piloted a vending zone system, social security scheme, and smart card-based credit linkage for vendors. The scheme was succeeded by the PM SVANidhi programme in 2020 which provided collateral-free working capital loans.
