Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation
Launched in August 2007 during the Eleventh Plan, RKVY provided states with flexible untied grants for agriculture and allied sector development with a condition that states maintain their agricultural expenditure above a baseline. States could use RKVY for soil health, farm mechanisation, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry, and post-harvest management. With a corpus of âš25,000 crore in Eleventh Plan, RKVY significantly boosted agricultural growth. It was reformulated as RKVY-RAFTAAR (Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied sector Rejuvenation) in 2017.
