Launched in 2008, the Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana provided handholding support to first-generation entrepreneurs from SC, ST, OBC, women, minority, and ex-servicemen communities. Udyami Mitras (trained facilitators) assisted new entrepreneurs in navigating clearances, preparing project reports, and accessing credit. The scheme was operated through the Office of DC-MSME and discontinued when subsumed into other MSME support frameworks.
