Jan Dhan account holders are eligible for an overdraft (OD) facility of up to ₹10,000, with an initial OD of ₹2,000 available without conditions. The facility aims to provide a credit safety net to the unbanked. Women Jan Dhan account holders get preference. After satisfactory operation of 6 months, the full ₹10,000 OD is available.
