PMAY-G provides financial assistance to rural households for construction of pucca houses with basic amenities. The scheme was restructured from IAY in 2016 with GPS-tagged monitoring, geo-tagged photographs, and direct bank transfer. Beneficiaries receive ₹1.2 lakh (plains) or ₹1.3 lakh (hilly/difficult areas) for a 25 sq m house.

• ₹1.20 lakh house grant per unit (plains); ₹1.30 lakh (hilly/difficult/IAP districts)
• ₹90 days of MGNREGS unskilled labour wages (up to ₹18,000)
• ₹12,000 for construction of toilet under SBM-G
• LPG connection under PMUY and electricity under SAUBHAGYA
• Beneficiary selects house design; payment in installments
