Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY)

iAbout This Scheme

Launched in 2009-10, PMAGY was a pilot scheme for integrated development of SC-majority villages (more than 50% SC population) by convergence of existing central and state government schemes. Selected villages received a gap-filling fund for infrastructure not covered by other schemes. The scheme operated across 1,000 pilot villages and was distinct from the SAANSAD Adarsh Gram Yojana (2014). PMAGY was continued with expanded coverage in subsequent plan years.
