PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) transfers ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments directly to the bank accounts of eligible farmer families. While not a banking scheme per se, the mandatory bank account linkage and Aadhaar seeding requirement makes it a critical direct benefit transfer through the banking system.
