निर्मल भारत अभियान
Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation
Renamed from Total Sanitation Campaign in 2012, the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan maintained the TSC's community-led total sanitation approach while introducing an incentive amount of ₹10,000 per Individual Household Latrine for BPL families. NBA also introduced Community Sanitary Complexes in schools and Anganwadi centres. It was replaced by the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) on 2 October 2014, which dramatically increased the unit cost and scale.
