महिला सशक्तीकरण के लिए राष्ट्रीय मिशन
Ministry of Women and Child Development
Launched in 2010, the National Mission for Empowerment of Women was designed as an overarching convergence mission to address the holistic empowerment of women. It operated through Panchayati Raj institutions at state and district levels through State Resource Centres for Women and District Resource Centres. NMEW was intended to converge all women-related schemes of different ministries. It was not renewed after the 12th Five Year Plan period and its functions were absorbed by the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and other targeted schemes.
