राष्ट्रीय खाद्य-कार्य कार्यक्रम
Ministry of Rural Development
Launched in November 2004 in 150 of India's most backward districts, NFFWP was a flagship programme of the UPA government that provided 100 days of employment with wages partly in foodgrains. It targeted the districts identified by the Planning Commission as backward and was a transitional scheme pending the passage of the NREGA. NFFWP was merged into the Mahatma Gandhi NREGS in February 2006.
