राष्ट्रीय परिवार लाभ योजना
Ministry of Rural Development
Introduced in August 1995 as part of the National Social Assistance Programme, the National Family Benefit Scheme provided a lump-sum grant of ₹10,000 to BPL households upon the death of the primary breadwinner (aged 18-64). It aimed to mitigate the immediate economic shock of losing the main income earner. The scheme continues as a component of NSAP though with revised amounts and criteria.
