सांसद स्थानीय क्षेत्र विकास योजना
Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation
Introduced in December 1993, MPLADS enables Members of Parliament to recommend works of capital nature for creation of durable community assets in their constituencies. Each MP receives ₹5 crore per year (enhanced from ₹1 crore in 1994) for local development projects. While technically still operational, MPLADS funds were suspended for two years (2020-21 to 2021-22) during COVID-19 and diverted to SDRF. The scheme remains active but is listed here as its original structure has been significantly modified.
