Kisan Vikas Patra is a savings certificate scheme that doubles the invested amount in approximately 115 months (9 years 7 months) at the current rate of 7.5% per annum compounded annually. Originally launched for farmers, it is now open to all resident Indians. It is available at post offices and designated banks.
