eNAM — National Agriculture Market

The National Agriculture Market (eNAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal that creates a unified national market for agricultural commodities by networking existing APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) mandis online. The platform allows farmers to list their produce and receive bids from traders and buyers located anywhere in the country — removing the geographic limitation that previously forced farmers to sell only to local traders at local prices.

The practical benefit for farmers is price discovery — instead of being told by a single local trader what the price is, the farmer can see bids from multiple buyers and choose the best one. In commodities where eNAM has strong participation, studies have shown 10–15% improvement in farmer realisation. The platform also enables quality testing of produce at the mandi, with assay reports visible to buyers — meaning farmers with better quality produce get better prices.

Over 1,000 mandis across 22 states and 3 Union Territories are connected to eNAM as of July 2026. To use eNAM, a farmer must first register at their local APMC mandi — registration is free. The mandi will provide a login ID and password. Farmers who already have PM-KISAN registration can use the same Aadhaar details to register on eNAM.
