त्वरित विद्युत विकास कार्यक्रम
Ministry of Power
Launched in 2000-01, APDP provided central grants to state electricity boards for distribution network upgradation, feeder separation, metering, and AT&C loss reduction. It was the precursor to the more ambitious Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (APDRP) launched in 2002. Both programmes aimed to reduce aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses in the power distribution sector and improve financial viability of SEBs.
