About This Scholarship

Commonwealth Master's Scholarships are for candidates from low and middle income Commonwealth countries to pursue a full-time taught Master's at a UK university. About 100 scholarships are awarded to Indian students annually across all subject areas.

Eligibility Criteria

Level of Study

First class bachelor's degree (equivalent to UK 2:1)

Minimum Marks

60-65% in bachelor's degree

Indian citizen
Not previously studied or lived in UK for more than 3 months
Not a current CSC scholar or alumni (for same level)

How to Apply — Step by Step

Apply at cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk using the online portal. Choose up to 3 UK universities.

In India, nominating bodies include major central universities and research institutions.

Shortlisting

CSC shortlists and selects scholars, notified typically in March.
