📋About SET/SLET

SET/SLET (State Eligibility Test/State Level Eligibility Test) is the state-level equivalent of UGC NET, determining eligibility for Assistant Professor posts in colleges within the respective state. Recognized by UGC, a SET/SLET pass is equivalent to UGC NET for teaching in colleges of that state only.

✅Eligibility

Qualification: Master's Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) from a recognized university

• For JRF (some states): maximum age 30 years
• For Lectureship only: no upper age limit in most states
• Final-year PG students can apply provisionally
• State-specific eligibility may apply — check individual state SET notification
